Position Title: MAINTENANCE/HANDYPERSON
Location: LONGBEACH RSL

Reports to: General Manager /Hospitality Manager
Hours/Days: Casual Position
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the General Manager and Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- General repairs and maintenance throughout a broad range of areas within the club
- Maintaining public areas in a clean condition
- Perform maintenance and light repairs
- Perform routine landscaping on the grounds
- Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc)
- Repair Equipment or appliances
- Get quotes, schedule and assist tradespeople with required jobs
- Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
- Ensuring safety compliance
- Receive deliveries
- Setting up of function furniture and equipment
- Emergency Lighting
- Testing and compliance of electrical appliance
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Have a good understanding of building maintenance
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance
- Maintain cellar and general cleanliness including stock rotation
- Responsible for the thorough receipt of deliveries and the secure storage of stock and inventory
- Manual Handling and manual labour
- Maintaining of essential services records
- Corresponding and liaising with contractors
- Run routine maintenance and safety inspections
- Monitor interior and exterior areas of the building for cleanliness and general presentation
- Comply with all OH&S policies and procedures
- Good analytical problem solving and on the spot initiative
- General aptitude in the following areas: Air conditioning, HVAC systems, refrigeration, door lock systems, painting, tiling, plumbing, and general furniture repairs
- Experience with hardware, tools and electrical equipment
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Proven experience in a building and/or property maintenance role.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Excellent organization, communication, time management and customer service skills
- Ability to use computers and technology efficiently
- Well organized with an ability to problem solve
- Strong Attention to detail
- Be a team player
· Ability to lift heavy objects and perform other labour intensive tasks
Personal Responsibilities
- Comply with OH&S and other legislative requirements in relation to own work practices
- Maintain knowledge and skills relevant to the position
Other Requirement:
- Valid Driver’s licence
- Must have basic computer skills and a smart phone
- First Aid Certificate
- Good level of physical fitness
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if required (not often)
