Addressrhi is recruiting for our renowned client in the oil & gas industry for a Management Accountant to join their team on a 12-month contract (possibility of extension) based in Docklands, Melbourne.
The role of the Management Accountant will be:
- Support the provision of timely and accurate financial contribution reporting, analysis and forecasting for the relevant sales organisations of our client.
- Liaise with the sales organisation in relation to sales and margin reporting and support the processing of corrective actions required in the provision of accurate and timely performance reporting.
- Support the provision of commercial insight to the relevant Finance sales representative in line with business plan/objectives/strategy and suggest value add initiatives as part of CI Culture
Responsibilities:
- Play a key partner facing role aligned to the MC&M Sales organisation accountable for the provision and delivery of monthly contribution reports and the ongoing operational relationship with the partner
- Act as a first level of escalation for ongoing and unresolved issues relating to sales and margin
- Act as a first level of escalation for ongoing and unresolved issues relating to inventory, cost and supply accounting
- Develop and maintain business relationships with relevant sales organisations
- Management of MI processes where relevant to the MC&M Sales organisation channel for which they are accountable
- Undertake performance analysis according to agreed processes consistent with Group policies
- Undertake and perform the capture, analysis and near-term reporting of financial outcomes including risk and variances in accordance with financial and control policies
- Work closely with finance performance reporting and control counterparts to ensure appropriate provision of MI to business
- Contribute to MC&M GFO process via engagement with channel managers and teams
- Exercise commercial awareness in decision making
- Identify and participate in process improvement opportunities for the relevant sales organisation as part of CI Culture.
- Ensure all relevant BSA accountabilities are adhere to in a complete and timely manner.
- Support the MA standard offer and help evolve offer in line with future finance expectations and business strategy
- Provide assurance over the integrity of the Financial information
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in related field ideally Accounting or Finance.
- Member of recognised accounting body.
- 5 - 7 years financial accounting or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Continuous Improvement approach to operating processes
- Team-focused, results oriented
- Conflict resolution and ability to find solutions to complex issues
- Communication-verbal & written
- Business acumen & Commercial awareness of the business
- Ability to build sound relationships with stakeholders and business partnering experience based on trust
