The local Council, Weddin Shire, is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to meet Council’s functions and therefore its Operational Plan requirements for the position of Management Accountant.
About the Role:
Weddin Shire Council is seeking applications from suitably qualified, experienced persons to perform the key role of Management Accountant at Council Chambers located at 73 Camp Street Grenfell NSW 2810.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services (DCS) the Management Accountant is responsible to provide management of the finance team’s day to day operations and support the DCS in meeting with the council’s key finance related activities. You will be expected to meet timelines and also support the council’s other managers and staff generally. You will be seen to be partnering with them in supporting sustainable decision-making, which will maximise the financial performance (be efficient) of Council, and also contribute to the effective administration of the Local Government Act provisions as it relates specifically to the financial aspects including budgeting and financial reporting.
Intending applicants must possess demonstrated experience and the qualifications as outlined in the Position Description.
It is desirable to have local government experience (however we recommend applicants without prior local government experience should still apply).

- - A negotiable salary range plus allowances where appropriate, subject to the demonstration of qualifications, skills and competencies.
- - Appointment to the position will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award and Council’s salary structure.
