Actuarial Results, you will be responsible for leading the
Actuarial Results team in delivering consolidated valuation results from the Consumer, Commercial, Workers' Compensation and CTP teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the Actuarial Results team
- Deliver monthly Journals and Yield Curves to Finance
- Responsible for quarterly reporting to Finance for the submission of APRA returns
- Provide the annual Asbestos valuation report (as at March)
- Provide consolidated Actuarial Valuation Reports for AAI (as at December and June)
- Overall Risk Margin and Claims Handling Expense assumptions
- Work with Finance to embed and improve the new AASB17 reporting approach
Skills & Experience- Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, Australia (or equivalent) or close to qualification - Mandatory
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) - Mandatory
- Strong analytical / technical aptitude - Mandatory
- Strong experience in spreadsheet modelling (Excel, VBA) - Mandatory
- 3+ years Actuarial Valuation experience - Desirable
- Knowledge of IFRS17/AASB17 - Desirable
