In return, you'll be supported to bring your own ideas to the table and challenge conventions - with the aim of making life a little brighter, simpler and better for our customers and each other.As the Manager Actuarial Results, you will be responsible for leading the Actuarial Results team in delivering consolidated valuation results from the Consumer, Commercial, Workers' Compensation and CTP teams.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Actuarial Results team
- Deliver monthly Journals and Yield Curves to Finance
- Responsible for quarterly reporting to Finance for the submission of APRA returns
- Provide the annual Asbestos valuation report (as at March)
- Provide consolidated Actuarial Valuation Reports for AAI (as at December and June)
- Overall Risk Margin and Claims Handling Expense assumptions
- Work with Finance to embed and improve the new AASB17 reporting approach
- Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, Australia (or equivalent) or close to qualification - Mandatory
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) - Mandatory
- Strong analytical / technical aptitude - Mandatory
- Strong experience in spreadsheet modelling (Excel, VBA) - Mandatory
- 3+ years Actuarial Valuation experience - Desirable
- Knowledge of IFRS17/AASB17 - Desirable
