The Collections Strategy team sits within Australia Retail & Commercial Risk and provides an active business partnership to embed and manage the ANZ Risk Framework within Australia in a way that meets the division’s strategic objectives.
Risk is a critical function, with highly valued and innovative teams that enable ANZ to deliver its purpose.
This role would suit an experienced risk professional who would like to join a talented team that understand the power of data science and collaboration to solve business problems. In the role you will get the opportunity to own all credit risks aspects in relation to collections regulatory commitments (frameworks, policy, strategy, monitoring, reporting, regulatory engagement support), provide key insight to the business to inform strategy and help ensure customers credit information is accurate and up to date.
What will your day look like
Work in collaborative teams to explore business initiatives and solutions
Delivering on multiple pieces of work, with ability to prioritise and manage your own workloads
Devise and create key information to inform credit and Collections Strategy
Analyse data and systems to ensure our customers credit information is accurate
Completing work for internal and external stakeholders
What will you bring?
Very strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate to senior leaders and external stakeholders, such as regulators.
Very strong facilitation skills and ability to influence a broad range of stakeholder groups with conflicting priorities
Strong analytical, numerical, research and problem-solving with proven ability to turn data into information and information into actionable business decision strategy
Proven technical capabilities and experience with data analytics/science and/or decision systems techniques and tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, PowerCurve, AbInitio, etc.).
Strong ability to translate data insights into practical business recommendations
A growth mindset and desire to continually learn and share new techniques and ideas
In depth understanding and knowledge of collections processes and policies, acts and legislation impacting collections practices
