About Us
The South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) is responsible for protecting the community from the effects of fire, road crashes, chemical incidents and other emergencies.
The MFS currently operates 37 fire stations throughout South Australia, including 20 across metropolitan Adelaide and 17 in regional areas across the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North, Far North and Eyre Peninsula, Riverland and Limestone Coast. All MFS fire stations provide emergency response and recovery 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
About the Role:
The Manager Engineering Workshop will lead the workshop staff and the general management of the mechanical maintenance and repair across the MFS.
You will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial and non-financial data and assist the Infrastructure and Logistics in its strategic management of the fire service in supporting the service in delivering to the community.
You will manage various contractors and suppliers, facilitate this, a high level of communication and problem-solving skills are required to enable effective liaison with both internal and external customers.
