Details: The Office of the Legislative Assembly (OLA) is an impartial statutory agency which provides procedural and administrative advice and support to the Assembly and its committees. It is headed by the Clerk of the Assembly and is governed by the Legislative Assembly (Office of the Legislative Assembly) Act 2012.
The OLA has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced HR professional to join our team.
As the Manager, HR and Entitlements you will lead a small team to deliver a broad range of human resource management services and advice in accordance with relevant legislative and policy requirements. This includes the provision of information and advice to Members of the Legislative Assembly, the Clerk and staff on employment matters, recruitment, performance management, learning and development, training and onboarding, payroll and travel entitlements, policy development and implementation, risk management and business continuity, industrial relations, workplace health and safety and delivering HR projects.
There is a significant element of personal responsibility and accountability for the delivery of HR and Entitlement services, including financial delegation to approve payroll for Members and their staff and OLA staff.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: We are a flexible organisation with initiatives such as a nine-day fortnight and working from home arrangements.
