About the opportunity

The Manager, Identity Management will be responsible for the operational management of the University’s Identity Management systems ensuring they are enhanced, designed, maintained and innovated effectively to enable the University to meet its strategic objectives. In this role you will support identity technology for staff, students and associated affiliates.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• lead and oversee all aspects of operational activity, including strategic planning, prioritisation, delegation, empowerment, coordination, staffing, organization, and decision-making, to ensure the attainment of both operational and strategic objectives.
• provide leadership for staff in the team by fostering a positive work culture that embraces collaboration and change, facilitating the alignment of behaviours and direction required to achieve key operating model objectives
• play a key role in shaping the University's strategic ICT infrastructure plans with a specific focus on advancing Identity Management infrastructure, contributing to the evolution of a robust and forward-thinking technological landscape.
• responsible for developing of partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to cultivate trust, collaboration and commitment in the delivery of high-quality ICT services
• assume responsibility for the provision of end-to-end services and ensures adherence to standards that will maximize the benefits whilst minimizing the costs of those services
• oversee continuous improvement of ICT infrastructure practices, processes and procedures.

About you

• Tertiary qualifications - Information and Communications Technology or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
• experience in people management, including managing staff performance and development
• excellent and persuasive communication and negotiating skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and lead and facilitate discussions
• ability to manage competing priorities often with limited resources, including flexibility and adaptability to respond to situational requirements
• experience preparing progress reports for management, project managers and clients.
