About the Role
We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious State Manager to join our growing team in Sydney. You will be an experienced shipping professional and will join and lead a friendly and supportive team that has a wealth of experience and that will support your professional growth.
In your day-to-day, you will lead and work as part of a team to provide world class service to our existing and new customers, whilst engaging in branch level management and reporting, and overseeing operational, customer service and documentation tasks. You will contribute to our overall sales strategy by developing long-term partnerships with our clients: understanding their needs and helping them select the best options for their cargo, whilst identifying and pursuing emerging sales opportunities.
Key to your success in this role will:
- Operational and people management experience
- Relationship-based sales experience in shipping or freight forwarding
- The confidence to develop effective relationships with customers
- The ability to proactively identify and act on commercial opportunities
- Excellent communication skills in-person, over the phone, and via email
- Enjoy working as part of a team, and independently
- A strong attention and the ability to work to deadlines
- Have good computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office 365
