KPMG Enterprise Business & Tax Advisory (“BTA”) is a national practice supporting clients in managing their compliance and looking ahead to plan for their continued business success and growth. We decisively deliver new ways of thinking, big-picture perspectives and acute insights that help clients make informed choices to deal with complex issues.

Our BTA practice specialises in the middle market including large private business groups, emerging listed companies and family group clients across a broad range of industries including property, retail, agriculture, manufacturing, technology, and family office clients.

Your Opportunity

Forming part of the BTA team you will play a key role in:
Providing technical support in the areas of indirect taxes, particularly GST, stamp duty and land tax across all jurisdictions to all our BTA teams;
Managing and maintain all aspects of the client relationships and portfolio.
Providing commercial and pragmatic indirect tax advice and solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients
Advising on cross-border transactions, business structuring, M&As, asset restructuring, succession and wealth planning; undertaking tax due diligence and assisting with revenue office reviews and audits.
Coaching and mentoring staff members
Delivery of technical training sessions to the team and broader BTA practice.

Your Experience

Ideally, 3-5 years experience in a legal firm, second tier, Big4 firm or tax authorities (e.g. ATO or state revenue offices).
Background in tax law would be highly benficial for this opportunity.
Strong knowledge and experience in private clients/middle market
Excellent tax technical capabilities
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and ability to build strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders

Qualifications

We are looking for applicant who have tertiary qualifications in law, commerce and other relevant fields.
