We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Manager ICT. This pivotal role encompasses both operational and strategic responsibilities, requiring a keen understanding and alignment with our business objectives. Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, you will be responsible for the delivery and demonstrated leadership of innovative, customer focussed ICT services and solutions which drive continuous improvement and meets business objectives while ensuring high availability and security of information.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage, lead, and develop your team, whilst ensuring the provision of a high-quality internal ICT support service to Council Staff and Elected Members
- Oversee the management of Council’s technology infrastructure, cyber security and telecommunication infrastructure
- Provision of key ICT strategic advice and leadership as required to assist with the delivery of major projects
- Review existing business processes and take the lead in the development and implementation of processes for the continuous improvement of information systems
- Lead and deliver customer focused ICT services and solutions
- Liaise and negotiate with external organisations including suppliers of hardware, systems software and telecommunications regarding maintenance, purchases and system performance
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or have extensive experience in ICT
- Be customer focused with a dedication to understanding and exceeding customer expectations, with a proven track record of exceptional customer experience.
- Lead by example and have a strong focus on empowering, coaching, and developing operational teams
- Be an ambassador for change with the ability to influence key stakeholders and engage with your team
- Be aware of emerging technologies and have the confidence to make recommendations where appropriate to management
- Have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of business, with a willingness to listen and engage with end users
- Embrace and demonstrate the leadership capabilities of Accountability, Authenticity, Communication, Courage, Empathy, and Strategic.
