Your New Role
This role is responsible for the financial performance monitoring, management, and improvement of Aware Super's insurance arrangements with an emphasis on premium sustainability, market competitiveness, and growth.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Insurance and you will work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver results.
Own the documentation and maintenance of the Aware Super Insurance Sourcing Model including reporting of benefits realised for members
Responsible for the insurance data management strategy
Lead regular reviews with insurers
Own the oversight and monitoring of all premium calculations, payments and reconciliations between operational teams and insurers
Lead analysis of insurance cover level, premiums and claims for organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
Provide insurance subject matter expertise into initiatives to improve the member experience and member outcomes.
How do you exceed our expectations?
The idea of being part of our growth is exciting and you want to play a pivotal role in making super simple.
You will be a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia (or equivalent body) with proven life insurance experience from either an industry, insurer or consultancy background
You must have extensive knowledge and evidence of application of contemporary insurance pricing practices and strategies
Demonstrated experience in insurance tenders, pricing, reinsurance, and actuarial calculations
Experience preparing Committee and Board level reporting
In depth knowledge of the superannuation and wealth management industries.
