About the role
Based in Cloncurry, reporting to the General Manager (GM) Ernest Henry Operation (EHO), the Integrated Planning Manager supports the GM and site teams in developing and improving the vision for the site and associated strategy to improve and implement that vision, specifically related to the Life of Mine Planning, budgeting and projects. The Integrated Planning manager provides technical expertise to enable the development and maintenance of short-, medium- and long-term strategic plans for EHO and is a key member of the Site Leadership Team.
Some of the key result areas for this role will include:
- Develop the site Life of Mine Plan in conjunction with the site Commercial Manager
- Develop the site Budget in coordination with the site Commercial Manager and site operational managers, ensuring it is realistic and achievable.
- Advancing key projects which contribute to continuous improvement of the site as well as innovation, progressing these through the scoping and feasibility stages and delivering project plans to the operations teams for execution.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement in the Integrated Planning department which seeks innovative ideas and projects to enhance the performance and life of the operation.
- Lead the Geotechnical, Geology and Planning teams, ensuring these areas are supported to achieve short- and long-term site objectives.
- Develop a planning system which meets company and site requirements and contributes to the site achieving safe, reliable and cost-effective production.
- Oversee the planning process with respect to respect to the annual, quarterly and monthly planning cycles for site.
- Lead the site Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve process, aligned to JORC reporting requirements
About you
You will have significant experience working in a site-based mining role at a senior level, with demonstrated experience and achievement in long-term and strategic planning. You'll be degree qualified in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or a similar related degree. You will have worked in dynamic and challenging environments, and have demonstrated experience in leading technical, multi-disciplinary teams. You'll have experience in delivering projects, particularly at the scoping and feasibility stages. An understanding of commercial drivers and the ability to use these to design forward-thinking and innovative plans will be essential in this role. You'll be proficient in the Powerpoint, Excel and project management and mine planning software (Deswik).
You'll have a strong leadership presence, leading by example, and coaching and mentoring others to be their best. You'll have excellent change management and stakeholder engagement skills, and be an effective communicator, particularly when delivering presentations. You'll be proactive, working with stakeholders to drive results, and see things through to completion.
