The Role:

The Manager, Investment Analysis and Policy reports tothe Deputy Director, Investment Support and is responsible forleading the strategic analysis, research and Policy delivery in theevaluation of complex investment opportunities.  The roleleads a high performing and innovative team in the strategicplanning, development, delivery and evaluation of complex researchand Policy investment projects.

The Manager, Investment Analysis and Policy leads the stakeholderengagement and a network of strategic alliances with keystakeholders, across government and industry including national andinternational stakeholders to support investment opportunities forthe State.

About You:

To be successful in this position, you must be able todemonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

  • Extensive experience leading and performance managing Analysis and/or policy teams in the planning, delivery and evaluation of multiple, concurrent complex projects and the provision of customer centric service to business units to facilitate decision making.
  • Extensive experience in leading and co-ordinating strategic program, planning and Policy development processes involving high level and sensitive consultation and negotiation, including developing and maintaining long term mutually beneficial relationships and networks with diverse stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in shaping strategic thinking and providing strategic advice, both verbally and in writing, including through the demonstrated use of high-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehensive and contemporary knowledge of Analysis and policy methodologies to achieve agency and government outcomes and detailed knowledge of relevant government policies and corporate and government decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy and original thinking to identify and analyse complex problems, formulate and implement innovative solutions and exercise political nous and discretion as required with respect to sensitive matters.


Desirable Qualification:

Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics,commerce, international business, or related disciplines

Special Conditions

Successful applicants may be required to obtain asatisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check orNational Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will berequired every 3 years.

Remuneration:

ASO8 – $119,317 min – $123,822 max
