Job description

  • Are you an experienced Mental Health practitioner looking to make a new career in a NFP community organisation?
  • Do you have an interest in supporting survivors of trauma who have been displaced from their country?
  • Do you want to work with a supportive and flexible employer who genuinely cares about you?

If you answered YES to these questions then this could be the position for you!

We are searching for a specialist Mental Health practitioner to lead our amazing team of qualified and experienced counsellors and program officers in our Phoenix Centre Program

The Phoenix Centre Program provides a range of therapeutic and individual Mental Health supports, prevention and early intervention, specialist trauma support and capacity building activities to people from a CALD background. It’s not an easy job, but the results we see in the people accessing our supports are inspiring and that brings a special kind of satisfaction – wouldn’t you agree?

We want someone who shares our values, has a ‘can-do’ attitude, believes in a social justice approach to service design and delivery, and is passionate about making a positive difference for people within our multicultural communities.

You will bring:

  • Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Community Development or similar;
  • Program management experience with skills in leading and coaching teams;
  • Experience working within quality and safety frameworks and National standards for Mental Health; and
  • An inclusive and compassionate approach to working with people, demonstrating respect for the different cultural diversities within our organisation and clients.

This is a full time position and can be based in either Launceston or Hobart, with the requirement to travel between the locations on a regular basis.

The salary is between $110,000 and $115,000 per year plus salary packaging to reduce your taxable income. We offer professional supervision, a supportive workplace with flexible work arrangements, professional and career development opportunities, and additional leave days.

Does this opportunity sound interesting? For a confidential discussion about the role or to obtain a position description, please contact Liliane on 0467 297 *** or email ***********@mrctas.org.au
