A rare opportunity has opened with our Network Operations team, as the Manager Network Operations. Reporting to the Head of Airline Operations and based in our Darwin office, this position is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operation of the airline is conducted in the most efficient manner, whilst ensuring safety and compliance are not compromised.  

The role provides guidance to the Operations Control Centre team and other stakeholders to ensure operational and commercial interests are balanced and appropriate plans are implemented, especially during times of flight and roster disruption. The role requires flexibility, additional hours and on-call availability.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Thorough knowledge of airline operations and applicable rules and regulations;
  • Cross-functional understanding of airline business units;
  • Ability to interpret aviation weather, NOTAMS and other industry-specific documentation;
  • Working experience of interpretation and application of industrial agreements or awards;
  • Relevant experience in airline operations/crew control/flight planning/load control or related functions;
  • Experience in use of relevant airline software systems;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Decision-making and negotiation skills;
  • Staff leadership experience including performance counselling and direct supervision/management;
  • Ability to work under pressure, with tight timelines and solve problems;
  • Prioritisation and time management skills;
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain ASIC.
