Manager, Office of the Deputy Secretary
Location: Parramatta CBD (Hybrid working arrangement)
Employment type: Ongoing, Full-time (1 vacancy)
Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12, $139,787 to $161,663 p.a. plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Office of the Deputy Secretary Corporate Services is a fast paced and dynamic environment. ODS is comprised of the Engagement and Strategic Issues team, the Business Coordination team, and the Corporate Services Performance team. These teams report to the Director, Office of the Deputy Secretary.
The Manager, ODS will be managing the Office of the Deputy Secretary (Engagement and Strategic Issues) team members.
What you’ll do
- Developing and managing the implementation of key divisional strategies (including the Corporate Services Strategy, and the divisional Engagement Strategy)
- Planning, reviewing and managing divisional communication materials and engagement initiatives
- Providing strategic secretariat support and governance functions to the division’s committees
- Collaborating with Corporate Services executives and their teams to support divisional priorities and solve problems
- Working with stakeholders from across the department and the sector
- Providing advice and responding to ad-hoc requests from the Deputy Secretary
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience and/or interest on a strategy, governance, and engagement priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to establish credibility and strong relationships with senior stakeholders
- Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to work within critical timeframes
- Ability and drive to take initiative, work autonomously where required, collaborate/consult where required, manage up/down as required.
- Willingness to be flexible and take on ad-hoc tasks to help out team members
- Experience in managing direct reports
Essential requirements include:
- Substantial administrative experience in a large and complex environment within an executive context
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with
- demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
