Manager OHS Services, South Eastern Victoria Region

The Department of Education’s OHS Implementation Services Branch is recruiting to key leadership and management roles to implement and deliver the Department’s newly expanded OHS Services Program to schools across Victoria.  

We are seeking exceptional individuals for the pivotal roles of: 

• Manager OHS Services, North Eastern Victoria Region (ES2-6) 
• Manager OHS Services, North Western Victoria Region (ES2-6) 
• Manager OHS Services, South Western Victoria Region (ES2-6) 
• Manager OHS Services, South Eastern Victoria Region (ES2-6). 

These new positions are an exciting opportunity to lead a growing team to deliver an enhanced service to schools and work collaboratively with managers in other regions and other key leaders in the Department.  

You will build and lead a team of OHS Service Officers in your region who will undertake OHS compliance and emergency management planning tasks in schools, including tasks conducted in preparation for OHS Assurance assessments and implementing recommendations post audits.  

You will drive delivery of the OHS Services Program, track and monitor delivery and outcomes, and ensure consistent, high-quality service across the team.  

You will have demonstrated yourself as a successful leader with positive stakeholder relationships, strategic thinking and skilled problem-solving in a complex service delivery environment.  

Your extensive OHS expertise is complemented by your demonstrated leadership and ability to drive a positive workplace culture.  

The role reports to the Senior Manager, Statewide OHS Services and will be required to work closely with their counterparts as well as with school principals, and other key staff in the Department’s regions and central office, including key partners in Emergency Management. 

 Location 

The successful candidate may work from one of the Department’s regional offices in the relevant region and will be expected to travel to Melbourne CBD and other offices/schools in their region.
