About the Role
The Manager, Product will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney. You will be the primary product specialist for the business and will be part of the wider Strategy, Marketing and Product team of 6 (including this role). The role of the Manager will be responsible for the product range within YCM and the associated management, analysis, coordination, and administration of those products within the context of the relevant regulatory and governance frameworks. You will work closely and liaise with relevant stakeholders at all levels of the business.
The role is detailed in nature, requiring the ability to quickly learn the business and its products, as well as the wider YCM Group's end-to-end product process.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the day-to-day management and execution of product strategy and initiatives
- Ensure Product Disclosure Statements or offer documents are correct and up to date including drafting continuous disclosure and disclosure documents, and managing the sign off, verification and attestation processes
- Liaison with relevant stakeholders regarding the delivery and ongoing management of YCM Group’s products
- Prepare and present internal communication such as Board and Committee papers related to the management of YCM Group’s products.
- Maintain strong and effective working relationships across the business
- On occasion, construct financial models to validate the profitability and viability of YCM Group’s products.
- Review liquidity of YCM Group’s products and report on any concerns.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- More than 5 years’ experience in the funds management industry
- Strong understanding of the operational environment of an asset/funds management business
- Solid knowledge of the Australian legal and regulatory environment as it pertains to investment management products and vehicles
- Strong software and technical skills with a sound understanding of performance analysis and the impact that it has on product management
- High degree of personal initiative, resourcefulness, and proactivity with a willingness to learn and accept new challenges
- Ability to efficiently manage projects related to the management of YCM Group’s products with a focus on mitigating operational and regulatory risk
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
