The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Sustainability Reporting Manager to join our Sustainability and Corporate Affairs team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Head of Sustainability Performance and Reporting, you will play a critical role in advancing the organisation’s sustainability agenda and ensuring APA’s sustainability disclosures are in line with best practice. The position supports the delivery of APA’s Sustainability Roadmap and contributes to the Groups’ reputation by ensuring high quality and continuous improvement of APA’s disclosure and sustainability reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate approvals, and manage the delivery of APA’s sustainability disclosures, including the sustainability content of the Annual Integrated Report and Sustainability Databook and coordinate the delivery of the Climate Report Suite, and UN Global Compact COP
  • Work closely with report content owners (e.g., sustainability, Health Safety Environment and Heritage, finance, operations) to collect accurate and relevant data for reporting purposes
  • Validate data quality and consistency, ensuring alignment with reporting standards
  • Play a key role in understanding, planning and tracking APA’s readiness for mandatory climate-related financial disclosures (AASB/ASRS)
  • Identify relevant ESG indices to participate in, and coordinate responses to third party requests for sustainability-related information, and research/ratings questionnaires
  • Undertake sustainability and standards research, benchmarking and analysis, monitor emerging issues and developments and analyse business impacts

About You
  • An experienced Reporting Manager with at least 5 years’ experience in a reporting role within large, multi-stream program environments or supporting a multidisciplinary operational function
  • Experience in leading and project managing Sustainability Reporting projects including assurance processes
  • Ability to foster relationships to enhance transparency and credibility in Sustainability Reporting
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in and/or responsibility for non-financial management and compliance reporting (e.g. GRI, SASB, ASRS, ISSB, Integrated Reporting, and TCFD)
