ABOUT THE ROLE
The Business Services Directorate comprises the Taxation Services, Business Support and Investment Branches.
The Taxation Services Branch is accountable for the efficient and effective management of the taxation affairs of clients of the Public Trustee including the lodgement of taxation returns.
The Manager Taxation provides a specialised taxation consultancy service to the Director Business Services, Public Trustee and other Directorates. It ensures all taxation matters on behalf of clients are managed in an efficient and effective manner including the preparation and lodgement of taxation returns. It liaises with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other stakeholders on complex taxation issues.

  • Demonstrated experience in using taxation return preparation and lodgement software.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or significant relevant experience, knowledge and skills.
  • Membership of a recognised professional accounting body.
  • Registration as a Tax Agent under the provisions of the Tax Practitioners Board.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to apply applicants must possess the following:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or significant relevant experience, knowledge and skills.
  • Membership of a recognised professional accounting body.
  • Registration as a Tax Agent under the provisions of the Tax Practitioners Board.
