The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and play an integral role in the implementation of new procurement systems and processes across a broad, national portfolio of property assets, managing key contracts and suppliers.
We are seeking a Manager, Technical Procurement to ensure that Technical (Building) Services Agreements are appropriately specified and procured, and key supplier relationships are diligently managed. This could include a broad range of technical services i.e., fire services, vertical transport, mechanical services, electrical services, water treatment, building management control systems etc.
As a member of the Procurement Team you will have shared accountability for the facilitation of technical services portfolio performance including innovation leading to improved performance and efficiencies across all asset classes (currently retail, office and logistics).
What you will be doing
- Playing an active role in the development and implementation of the Procurement strategy, operational and tactical goals and objectives.
- Managing the tendering, negotiation, awarding and on-going management of Technical Services contracts across different asset classes nationally.
- Providing mentorship, guidance and support across the business on Technical Services issues and contract scope, contract management, dispute resolution and supplier performance management.
- Assisting with the preparation and management of technical services operating expenses (OPEX) forecasts.
- Providing general support to the business in the use of the company's supplier management and business forecasting systems.
- Identifying and implementing industry best practice.
What makes you stand out
To be successful in this position, you will require broad technical, building services experience across a range of areas i.e., air conditioning, vertical transport, fire services, mechanical services, BCMS and/or electrical services etc.
In addition, you will be comfortable managing the contract scoping and tender processes for national contracts with a strong track record in managing multi-project programs. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong stakeholder management capability and a passionate for ensuring contracts are delivered to the highest standards.
