We're recruiting for a management role in our Breakfast Creek site, having been established now in Brisbane for 3 years.

The aim of the role is to deliver outstanding customer experiences, build an energetic and customer-focused team, oversee safety & compliance for the fleet, help us drive new business, deliver Guest briefings and help maintain our fleet of electric Picnic boats.
You'll be supported by the National Operations Manager and an existing local team to get you up to speed and sailing along smoothly!

About the role:
As Manager, after training on our systems & processes, you'll hit the ground running and be responsible for:
- Providing leadership to casual crew, focusing on a culture of safety, service, and efficiency
- Ensuring customer enquiries are responded to in a timely & helpful manner
- Performing various daily/weekly/monthly light administration tasks (eg. checklists, stocktakes)
- Taking initiative to mitigate risks, solve problems and troubleshoot technical issues (training provided)
- Setting the example in delivery of excellent briefings and demonstrations to guests
- Assisting customers to dock and depart
- Patrolling the waterway in a support vessel from time to time, and responding to any incidents or situations where there is risk of an incident
- Ensuring boats are kept clean and in good condition
- Demonstrating the highest of personal presentation standards
Essentials for the role:
- Coxswain 3/exemption 38 or higher (this is a condition of employment, and can be obtained prior to commencement)
- Current First Aid certificate (as above)
- Customer service experience
- Your own reliable transport
- Ability to work autonomously
- Great communications skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- Commitment to weekend work
- Willingness to be hands on
- Love of the water
Desirable attributes:
- Marine tourism experience
- Hospitality experience
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Fast learner
