Key Responsibilities:

  • Post-Production Leadership: Oversee all aspects of post-production, ensuring content is polished, impactful, and upholds our quality standards.
  • Content Creation and Editing: Develop and refine content strategies, overseeing the creation and editing of compelling content that aligns with our mission and partner objectives
  • Content Scheduling and Release: Manage the content calendar, scheduling, and timely release of content across various platforms to maximise audience engagement
  • Brand Collaboration: Coordinate closely with partners and the executive producer to integrate brand messaging and ensure content aligns with partner expectations
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide the editorial team, fostering a culture of creativity and productivity
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse content performance metrics to inform and optimise future content strategies
  • Strategic Planning: Actively contribute to the strategic planning of content initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader program goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Film, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a content editing or Managing Editor role, preferably within a digital media environment or content-driven organisation.
  • Proven track record of managing content production, from concept through post-production and distribution.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a creative team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling.
  • Proficiency in content management systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A deep understanding of digital media and content trends.
  • Current C Class or higher Driver's License (if necessary for on-location work).
