The Manufacturing Cost Accountant is a development role within the manufacturing Finance function to partner with manufacturing sites and the wider finance team to provide accurate & timely financial reports and identify drivers of value and opportunities for improvements / cost reduction.
Location – Melbourne OR Sydney
The Impact You’ll Make;
- Prepare accurate information/reports/insights to operations and finance teams within reporting deadlines
- o Key analysis of operational performance
- o Complete weekly/monthly manufacturing reporting
- o Complete month end assigned tasks – journals and balance sheet
- Participate in annual costing (stock revaluation) process ensuring integrity of the costing system within the ERP
- Adhoc standard cost updates
- Assist with capex pre and post capex financial reviews and analysis
- Co-ordinate stocktakes with operations teams ensuring accuracy and completeness of counts in accordance with policy
- Identify process improvement(s) in own area of responsibility and the wider Finance and Manufacturing Teams
About you:
You might have a few years cost/management accounting experience with a strong desire to partner with the business or you might be an analyst looking to gain a deep understanding of our business before accelerating your growth. We are looking for someone ambitious with data driven curiosity.
You are able to prioritise and focus, make tough calls and drive simplicity. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong in Excel, you are CA or CPA qualified or working towards.
