About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Assembly to join our team located in Bayswater North. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, executing, and overseeing various production implementation projects within our organisation.
This role is responsible for leading the technology transfer process from a foreign company for the assembly processes and setting up a modern and efficient production facility. These processes and facilities will then deliver the manufactured product against performance specifications and meeting strict delivery timelines.
We are looking for someone who can work effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate with stakeholders, and manage resources to ensure that project success is achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong and collaborative relationship with the foreign partners manufacturing team to ensure efficient and complete transfer of the technology.
- Lead the technology transfer of the assembly processes and equipment from the foreign company, ensuring a seamless transition of knowledge, processes, and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the current technology, identify gaps, and develop a comprehensive assembly process and equipment transfer plan.
- Support the planning and setup of a new production facility.
- Work closely with production team, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Develop, optimise, and implement manufacturing processes to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to relevant quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Required Competencies:
- 7+ years’ experience in Assembly Process Manufacturing Engineering.
- A strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Communication skills.
- Lean 6 sigma, other manufacturing methodology accreditations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing)
- Ability to hold Australian Defence clearance is desirable.
