The opportunity:

Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne, Australia, in 1948 and has grown to become one of the world's leading privately owned packaging, paper and recycling companies. This national role will lead the way in driving business standardisation and change processes and activities throughout our Fibre Packaging division.

Your love of building relationships, consultation, and effective communication to establish change will be critical in obtaining an understanding of key improvement areas and balancing a variety of key manufacturing projects.

Reporting to the National Technical Manager, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Develop and evaluate a strong understanding of Visy Board’s existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify changes and improvements
• Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process
• Build solid and collaborative relationships with internal key stakeholders
• Convert opportunities identified through stakeholder engagement that is supported by data collection and analytics.
• Create and standardise processes and procedures to help the company meet efficiency and budgetary goals
• Prioritise and navigate cost saving and key projects
• Maintain milestone reporting
• Regular interstate and overseas travel (ANZ)
  

What you will bring to the team:

• Proven project management skills and experience
• Formal qualification in Applied Science or Engineering beneficial
• Excellent computer skills:  MS Office, Power Apps (Automate and BI would be an advantage)
• Relatable experience in corrugated or related manufacturing industry
• Ability to lead business change
• Strong Communicator who can motivate, train and influence key stake holders on technical subjects, through meetings or written reports.
