The Role
This maternity leave cover is a 1-year contract – however, the position may be available beyond the initial contract period.
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager (Apparel) to join our Factory Operations department. This position requires a highly organised and motivated individual with strong stakeholder and project management experience.
This role will be responsible for the timely delivery of project outcomes, drive business process changes related to improving sustainability and delivering analytical insights. The successful applicant will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, experience managing multiple projects, the ability to interact with leadership and build solid relationships across the organisation.

What To Expect:
- Maintaining factory relationships through regular communication with factory administrative staff (area leads).
- Review of factory performance against KPIs developed per factory.
- Assist in factory cost saving strategies.
- Resolution of BAU issues.
- Review of processes & identification of improvements.
- Monitoring and maintaining of factory standards.
- International travel to factories as required.
- Overseeing seasonal timeline tracking and collection launch & identification of red flags.
- Stakeholder engagement and collaboration to achieve business outcomes of seasonal timeline & collection launch.
- Coordination of weekly Manufacturing team meetings.
- Ownership and accountability for the department processes and procedures.
- Be an active partner in the business working cross departmentally to collaborate & communicate business objectives with factories, as well as supporting all staff with factory dealings.
What We Are Looking For:
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Fashion, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role within the garment industry or related field.
- Strong stakeholder management and project management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and improvement strategies in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Advanced interpersonal skills for interacting with leadership and building solid and trusted working relationships across the organisation.
- Thorough, data-driven approach and a willingness to consult and collaborate with others to overcome obstacles and achieve the best results.
- Fabric knowledge and/or manufacturing industry experience would be an advantage.
