The Role
We currently have a position vacant for a Manufacturing Operator. You will be working in a fast-paced environment in our Processing & Packaging departments, covering day and afternoon shift rotation. You will be working 5 days per week including Sunday as a standard working day.
Our Salisbury site in Adelaide's northern suburbs manufactures a range of more than 78 milk and milk-based products. This site is a combined production and distribution facility producing well-known brands such as Pura, Dairy Farmers, Farmers Union, and Feel Good; and distributes predominantly SA and NT, but also NSW and VIC.
This position works on a rotating roster which includes a mix of day shift (6:30am to 3:20pm) and afternoon shift (3pm to 11:30pm). Sunday is also included as a standard working day. You have to be comfortable working these hours.
Responsibilities
- Support the existing rotating roster for Processing and Packaging with day and afternoon shifts.
- Ensuring Safety & Quality standards in the area are maintained in accordance with Bega policies.
- Accurate batching and testing of white and flavoured milks to ensure specifications are achieved.
- Operation of processing equipment including highly automated control systems and manual ingredient batching.
- Responsible for receival, storage, & use of incoming raw milk.
- Operation of bottle and carton filling machines, and crate packaging equipment.
- General housekeeping & equipment cleaning to quality standard.
About you
- Experience in the beverage, FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
- Strong commitment to Safety and Quality standards.
- Able to work autonomously.
- Good computer literacy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement.
- Valid forklift licence (not essential).
