THE ROLE!

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team and contribute to the optimisation and improvement of our blown film extrusion manufacturing operations. As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and overseeing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety within our operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimisation, troubleshoot operational issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Design and implement process improvements to optimise throughput, recoveries, and resource utilization.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate proposed process modifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of process changes.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operating manuals.
  • Perform regular process audits and inspections to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations personnel to ensure effective implementation of new processes and technologies.
  • Participate in risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify and mitigate process safety hazards.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in blown film extrusion manufacturing.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Member of the Institution of Engineers CPEng or IChemE
  • Experience in Process Engineering within the manufacturing industry preferred
  • Solid understanding of unit operations, and process optimization techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
