Join the team and live the dream! We are seeking an enthusiastic, ocean loving Marine Crew member to join the Marine team, working on the Fitzroy Flyer. Job Description: The Fitzroy Flyer travels between Cairns and Fitzroy Island each day, transporting guests, staff and supplies. As the face of Fitzroy Island Resort, it is the Crew Member’s responsibility to provide excellent customer service whilst maintaining a friendly, positive and helpful disposition at all times. Meeting and greeting passengers as they board, issuing customers with the correct wrist band as indicated on the passenger manifest. Assisting customers with any luggage or queries, selling snacks, beverages and other products on board the vessel, completing informative speeches and safety briefings, transferring of linen and stores, as well as informing passengers of any changes or delays to services. Shifts are generally 7am-6pm. About You: Outstanding customer service and communication skills. You are passionate about the reef and providing information about the environment. You display professionalism at all times, especially when under pressure and mitigate any negativity. Take direction from management, adhering to company policies and procedures. Health and safety conscious with an eye for detail. Essential: Current QLD RSA. Current First Aid certificate- CPR and O2. ESS and experience on other vessels will be highly regarded.
