We now have a great opportunity available for a supervisor / service manager to join us to manage and lead our team of highly skilled engineers and technicians.
The Role

Responsibilities
- Organise and manage the day-to-day business operations of technical staff
- Scheduling and general technical support of service team
- Assisting and supervising service team onsite
- Managing & delegating internal operational requirements
- Ownership and management of sustainment / maintenance projects
- Working with technical sales to ensure jobs are completed on time and on budget
- Focus on implementing, utilising and improving operational processes to streamline operational activities and ensure quality outcomes
- Management of all resources and assets to ensure optimal efficiency, and forecasting of requirements to ensure continuity
- Participation in every stage of the sales process, from enquiry through to invoicing
- Key client management and customer service engagement of the highest level
- Ensure all operational documentation, including service reports & quality documentation etc are developed and presented in the most professional way
- Oversee the totality of job delivery to clients, in alignment with established processes
- Prepare reports, budgets and expense schedules, and analyse for variances and trends that create risks or opportunities for the department
- Recommend corrective actions and strategies to ensure the department is operating at peak efficiency & performance
- Review all jobs for accuracy, integration, profitability and efficiency, and act as the final stage of approval before sending them for invoicing
- Actively seek, engage and maintain customer relationships
- Be the central point of communication for all client technical enquiries and job requisitions
- Assist in management of stock control, external provider relationships, warehousing and logistics
- Create strong team cohesion through regular engagement, coaching & mentoring, team building and performance appraisals and general HR duties.
- Engage with all other business departments and participate in strategic planning
The Candidate
- Technical background and experience in a relevant field
- Ability to create a good plan out of nothing, and determination to accomplish goals
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good data analysis, planning and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good leadership qualities with the ability to provide direction, empathise and understand, create a team environment and bring out the best in their staff
- Experience running a medium sized team of varied tradespeople
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word & Share point) and above average computer literacy
- Above all else - drive, energy and a practical approach are the skills we value
Competencies & Licences
Mandatory:
- Trade Qualification – Cert III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration
- Current Refrigerant Handling Licence
- White card/construction card
- Current driver’s license
- Full unrestricted Australian work rights
- Ability to pass AFP police check
Preferred but not essential:
- Supervision experience in a similar role
- Experience in project management
