The Team:

The role sits in the Industry team which is a newly created business unit at Big Red Group, highly innovative and focused on delivering a range of initiatives to acquire new operators, drive upsell, cross sell amongst existing operators and creation of new revenue streams through new SAAS products, and a new value added membership service based on subscription, also working alongside Consumer and Corporate teams to execute the overall marketing plan.

The Role:

The Marketing Executive - Industry is an exciting newly created role where no two days will be the same. Reporting to the Head of Marketing - Industry you will thrive in a fast paced, start up and sales led environment and work across a diverse range of B2B marketing activities. You will be eager to learn, curious and work well in a collaborative cross functional team.

You will be responsible for bringing our Industry strategy and marketing plan to life through the execution of a range of B2B marketing initiatives from campaign management, lifecycle marketing, trade marketing, sales collateral, product marketing, copy writing and content, sponsorships, event management and partnerships.

You will be passionate about B2B and product marketing and eager to contribute to the growth of our Industry team. You will have a well-rounded marketing background combined with a creative, entrepreneurial and innovative mindset and eager to make an impact. This is truly a generalist marketing role where you will have the opportunity to continue to develop and grow.

Core Activities:

  • In close collaboration with the Head of Marketing, bring our marketing and communications strategy to life through various marketing touchpoints.
  • Create compelling content for marketing materials, email campaigns, including sales collateral, supplier newsletters, webinars, case studies, presentations, linked in, website copy and more!
  • Manage end to end marketing campaigns, including planning, execution, content and analysis across various channels such as digital, social, email events and more.
  • Creation of copy and creative look and feel using Canva and briefing in designer or related agency to create more complicated campaign builds. Website updates, new landing pages, digital asset creation, sales collateral, sales scripts, FAQ's and end-to-end product, customer, sales journey mapping.
  • Build, manage data requirements and content and copy in related systems including Mailchimp, Mandrill and Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud, adhering to all related processes, completion of approval process and perform 100% QA prior to going live.
  • Champion customer-centricity through ongoing research, persona creation, journey mapping and understanding.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive insights to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives using metrics and KPIs and provide regular reports and insights to industry team.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with marketing, product, sales and supply to ensure alignment of marketing goals with overarching industry strategy and goals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, new technologies to continuously improve our marketing impact.
  • Support in migrating all brands to Salesforce Marketing Cloud or related system.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field or relevant experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in a startup or tech environment.
  • Proven track record of managing successful marketing campaigns and initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communications with the ability to create compelling content for various marketing channels.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including but not limited to email marketing platforms, content management systems, social media management tools.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive informed decision making.
  • Creative thinking and problem solving with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement and the customer.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, cross functional team in a fast paced start up environment.
  • Sales support and event management experience, B2B marketing in a start- up environment would also be beneficial.
  • Experience with creative development, copywriting, content production, email builds (Mailchimp/ Salesforce/Other martech), customer segmentation, test and targeting principles and executing creative thinking, and adherence to brand guidelines.
