About the role
This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) and will be based at the Nowra Administration Building
Duties
Reporting directly to the Tourism Marketing Specialist, the focus of this position is to:
- Manage the social media and web channels for Shoalhaven Tourism
- Work collaboratively with the marketing team on campaigns to promote the region
- Write inspiring copy and work with content and assets to engage, and convert audiences into visitors
- Provide assistance across publicity, brochure development and visitor services alongside your primary task of digital marketing
- Be a gun at all things digital, be able to juggle multiple campaigns and priorities within a loud, dynamic and creative team whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Skills & Experience
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in tourism/hospitality, communications, marketing
- Min 3 years’ experience in a similar role identifying target audiences and devising marketing campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills to understand and apply technology, work practices and workflows used in Council’s corporate environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, digital marketing, social media platforms, community networks and website management
- Demonstrated knowledge of traditional marketing, publicity and campaign management.
- Class C Driver’s Licence
