The Office for Early Childhood Development has been formed with a clear mandate. To create a fairer and better future for all children in South Australia. As the steward of the early childhood development system, the Office will act on government's behalf, and work in collaboration with the sector, to organise and connect the system to reduce children’s developmental vulnerability in the years before school.
This includes leading reforms to quality preschool for all three and four-year-olds, supporting for families in the first 1000 days of a child’s life and implementing workforce reforms.
About the role
The Manager Funding Operations and Quality will focus on executing the design and development of efficient Funding Operations, supporting funding accountability, informed decision-making through data analysis, increased program impact, and establishing collaborative relationships with funding recipients and government bodies. Managing a small team, the role optimises resource allocation, supports funding effectiveness, and facilitates evidence-based improvements in the early childhood education sector.
The primary purpose of this role is to streamline operations, enhance data-driven decision-making, and ensure that preschool programs are funded in alignment with the government's objective for quality preschool services. In aiding the Director of Funding Operations & Monitoring, you will support to the advancement of high-quality early childhood outcomes for the state.
Your Contribution:
The Manager of Funding Operations and Monitoring requires a combination of leadership abilities, subject matter expertise, data analysis, strategic thinking, adaptability, and interpersonal skills to successfully manage funding, operations, and Monitoring activities, ultimately contributing to the Office's mission of supporting the expansion of preschool to reduce developmental vulnerability in children.
About you:
In order to excel in this position, you should have a track record as a successful manager, showcasing experience in financial performance, quantitative data analysis, contracting, and program management roles. This background will be enhanced by your expertise in strategic data collection, analysis, and interpretation, contributing to informed program performance. Your success will hinge on your skill in fostering effective collaboration with the South Australian Government and other pertinent agencies, particularly in the areas of data sharing and compliance.
