The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Master Control Operator based at our Sydney Broadcast Centre in Eveleigh. As Master Control Operator, you’ll be the orchestrator of seamless, top quality broadcast operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to broaden their skill base, and work with the latest digital technology in a fast-paced television environment. 

Reporting to the Broadcast Support Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Coordinating all incoming and outgoing feeds and live crosses for both Sydney and Network News services.

  • Configuring and establishing communications for studio and outside broadcast requirements.

  • The application of engineering quality control to network news transferring operations

  • The distribution of live programming.

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and mitigating technical faults.

About You:

You will be a skilled Master Control Operator, with strong problem-solving ability and stakeholder management skills, the ability to work proactively, autonomously and to tight deadlines. You will be flexible and available to work 24/7 shift work, working on rotating shifts to cover the operational needs of the business.

You will have:

  • Proven Master Control experience

  • A dynamic work ethic

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Familiar with Satellite, Microwave, Communications Matrices, DVN, and Electronic News Gathering techniques as well have a familiarity with devices used to process, correct and enhance television signals in all transmission formats.
