About the role
As the Material/Parts Logistics Officer, you will be integral to ensuring the efficient management and procurement of spare parts for our workshop and machines, maintaining the stock system, managing inventory and collaborating closely with the maintenance and upgrades teams to ensure optimal parts availability.
Supervising 2 team members, your role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation and readiness of our equipment, contributing directly to the success of our projects.
Key accountabilities
- Order spare parts for workshop and machinery maintenance and repairs.
- Manage job cards and record keeping of parts used and required for various jobs.
- Provide estimates for upgrade and overhaul works, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Plan and schedule parts for upcoming works, ensuring timely availability and minimising downtime.
- Maintain store and stock levels to ensure optimal inventory, preventing shortages and overstocking.
- Organise pick-up and delivery of parts, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure efficient logistics.
About You
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated success in managing inventory and logistics operations
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and inventory management software
- Hold a current Drivers Licence
Note: This role may require some travel and occasional work outside of normal business hours to meet project deadlines.
