We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Registered Midwife with strong leadership & management experience to lead our Maternity Services. This key executive position encompasses the overall management of our 7 bed Birthing Suite, 13 bed SCN & 37 bed ward and childbirth education. North Shore Private births 2,500 babies per annum.
This role encompasses planning, implementing, and evaluating practices processes and services within the department. The role requires working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements. You will also be accountable for the efficient and effective management of quality systems and education to support and foster a culture within the hospital that strives to continually improve patient and business outcomes.
This role will work closely with the Executive team to shape organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision ad achieve departmental and hospital strategic objectives.

The position which requires the ability to lead innovation, whilst recognising the patient as the central focus within the private healthcare setting, would offer a rewarding opportunity. You will have a strong leadership and clinical background where you exceled in operational and change management.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Extensive clinical management experience within maternity
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
- Demonstrated management, decision making and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources
- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement program
- Ability to apply research findings to clinical practice
