Mathematical Methods & Physics Teacher

Serious About STEM Education (SAS Education) is an online teaching and tutoring business designed to support students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. 

SAS Education was started by Matt, a registered Physics and Mathematics teacher who values a high standard of education through enjoyment in learning and simplicity in teaching. A big part of the businesses success has been the teaching and tutoring offered by registered teachers, many of whom work with the QCAA to endorse, confirm and mark both internal and external assessment. 

As SAS Education has grown over the past couple of years, it is looking to hire qualified teachers who are interested in developing their content base through tutoring, and improving their pedagogical approach to teaching content that they also teach inside the classroom. 

The idea is not to provide teachers with additional planning and workload, but to instead teach the content that they are already teaching inside of a classroom with a hourly rate reflective of teachers' pay. 

To be hired as a teacher with SAS Education, you should: 

• be qualified as a teacher 
• have up to date technology (with the capacity to annotate)
• Secure internet access
• be familiar with zoom and online whiteboard technology

Our ideal teacher/tutor has experience teaching BOTH of Mathematical Methods and Physics, but Chemistry, Biology, General Mathematics and Junior Mathematics/Science are also looked upon favourably.
