Fixed-Term - Years 9 to 12
Developing proficiency in Mathematics enables students to become confident problem solvers, critical and imaginative thinkers, clear communicators and lifelong learners. Students learn about the power of mathematical thinking through investigations and real world contexts whilst being inspired to explore the global language of mathematics.
We are seeking to appoint a qualified, enthusiastic and motivated Mathematics Teacher to lead our students along the journey of seeking and applying their knowledge and understanding. The successful applicant will have proven experience and/or knowledge in the following areas:
- Developing and delivering engaging and empowering learning programs which are inclusive and responsive to student needs. Be willing to actively support additional commitments that promote Mathematics in the School.
- Take responsibility for the effective pastoral care of students, in classes, tutor groups and on excursions. Proven experience in Co-curricular Programs.
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning through engaging in external opportunities and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Working successfully and collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
- Communicating successfully with parents, staff and students and have relevant ICT and learning management systems skills as an integral part of teaching practice including recording and feedback of student work.
This fixed-term, part-time role commences at the beginning of Semester 2, 2024. The teaching load may be flexible from 60% to a full-time load depending on the successful applicant.
