Job Description

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Maths Secondary teacher to join a high performing school near Altona. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching General Mathematics to years 7-9 in a full time, contract till end of the year with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons lessons to students in years 7-9.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and wellbeing
• Develop and implement assessment strategies that provide timely and constructive feedback to students
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans and programs
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, parents and carers about student progress and achievement
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching and learning practice

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
• Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum
• Experience teaching Primary students advantageous
• Graduates welcome to apply

• A commitment to ongoing professional learning and development
• A willingness to contribute to the school community and extra-curricular programs
