About the Opportunity
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. To help us achieve this we are seeking a Mechanic Diesel Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of the operation and safety compliance of all council's plant, fleet and ferries, by conducting regular inspections, mechanical maintenance and repairs.
To succeed in this role, you will have Certificate 3 in Light or Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or relevant experience), knowledge of obligations under current WH&S Legislation, experience in diagnosing and repairing a range of plant machinery, can work in a team environment and autonomously and have the ability to participate in the after hours on-call roster.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $1,253.50 per week with the opportunity for competency-based progression.
Allowance: Adverse Working Conditions Level 1, On call, Tool Allowance and Tool of Trade Vehicle.
