What you’ll be doing:
You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of our diverse fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and Repairing: Conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, and performing expert repairs on heavy vehicles, such as trucks, tractors, trailers, ride-on mowers, waste trucks and more.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implementing scheduled maintenance programs to prevent breakdowns and ensure our vehicles and machinery are always in peak condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations, guaranteeing the highest level of safety standards are met for both our team and the public.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborating with our skilled team of mechanics, operators, and supervisors to ensure seamless operations and efficient workflow.
Who we’re looking for:
- Trade Certification: Hold a Heavy Duty or Light Vehicle Mechanic trade qualification, demonstrating your proficiency in maintaining heavy vehicles and equipment.
- Proven Experience: Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles and machinery.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and provide effective solutions promptly.
- Attention to Detail: Be thorough in your work, ensuring top-quality repairs and maintenance.
- Safety Conscious: Prioritise safety, following guidelines and procedures without compromise.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment.

- Weekly RDO - 4 day working week (9.5 hour days) on a rotating roster
- $85,919.89 - $88,267.42 per annum ($43.48 - $44.67 p/hr) + super + penalties for any overtime
