Mechanic – Light Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

An exciting opportunity to use your mechanic experience and your scheduling skills, to support our Sydney and Newcastle Teams! This role assists by looking after our fleet in NSW, supported by a Fleet team interstate.

YOUR ROLE

As our Mechanic you will report to the General Manager of Surefleet to ensure all fleet is available for use. The role will cover both our Sydney and Newcastle depots with 3 and 2 days at each depot respectively. You will inspect and test vehicles, complete preventive maintenance such as servicing, repairs, tyre rotation on a range of vehicles. You will work with the fleet team and outsource more specialised jobs. Installing and repairing of aftermarket accessories’ such as two-way radios, reverse cameras, beacons, arrowboards and other auto electrical fixtures will also form part of the role so experience with Auto Electrical work is highly valued.  

ABOUT YOU:

• You hold a relevant Trade Certificate - Certified Light Vehicle Mechanic with Heavy Vehicle highly desirable
• Strong and Excellent diagnostic & repair skills
• Ability to communicate and engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Computer skills
• Sound time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask.
• Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements.
• Current Drivers Licence, preferably MR/HR 
• Ability to work autonomously.
