What you'll be doing…
You will complete a qualification Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Mechanical Technology over 48 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures.
Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:
- General cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized workshop.
- Assisting mechanics in servicing and repairing plant equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
- Testing, repairing, and replacing broken or defective parts.
- Ensuring compliance with all Council safety policies and procedures, including SWMSs and Project event safety Management Plans where applicable.
- Supporting the implementation of all WHS (Work Health and Safety) policies and procedures.
- You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of heavy and light vehicles, as well as plant equipment. Your tasks will involve using hand and power tools, along with other equipment, to carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance.
