Mechanical Engineer

Engineering Applications is a Brisbane based industry leader in the design, fabrication, installation and maintenance of processing plant & equipment across a range of industries. Due to an increase in workload we are looking for an experienced, well rounded Mechanical Engineer, to join our growing business in our Hemmant branch.

To be successful in this role you are required to have:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with RPEQ status
• 7-10 years post graduate experience in fabrication, maintenance & installation work across a broad range of industries including but not limited to - food processing, manufacturing and mining
• Thorough knowledge of industry code of practice and Australian standards
• Ability to work on multiple projects at any given time in a multidisciplinary working environment
• Apply a solid understanding of Engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems
• High level problem solving capabilities with an ability to implement solutions
• Experience designing innovative and cost-effective fabricated products and mechanical process equipment
• Ability to rapidly understand and assimilate project and client specific requirements whilst working directly with Project Managers
• Exceptional time management skills including the ability to manage a diverse range of tasks with changing deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail and technical documentation

Desirable Criteria:

• Strong computer skills including, Spacegass, MS Excel etc.
• A solid understanding of manufacturing and operational processes, with a focus on engineering and desig
