Are you ready to take control of your career? We're currently seeking a Mechanical Site Engineer to join our team. This is an initial 6 month contract with the possibility of extension, roster to be discussed. This role is residential with accommodation provided, DIDO to/from site if outside of the regional area. The role is part of a major overhauls team, and reports into the Outage Manager during a major overhail at a Power Station.Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate engineering advice with respect to major overhaul work
- Perform condition assessment and timely defect investigation, root cause analysis and repair methodology (as required) on turbines, generators, mechanical transmissions, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems and auxiliaries
- Identify and anticipate equipment repair and technical issues
- Confirm Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Record Sheets (IRSs) are available for all recordable measurements and Hold Points; and that the ITPs and IRSs are completed in accordance with the specified requirements
- Process, quality check and analyse measurement data collected during machine dismantling, refurbishment and assembly to ensure the specified build and alignment tolerances are achieved
- Hourly rate between $90 - $110 + super, depending on experience and skill set, paid weekly

To be successful you will need Experience in the following:
- Mechanical Site Engineer with Power Station experience (preference for Hydro Turbine experience)
- Experience in condition assessment and timely defect investigation, root cause analysis and repair methodology (as required) on turbines, generators, mechanical transmissions, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems and auxiliaries
- Ability to communicate with repair service providers on technical, design and quality requirements
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Australian working rights and be in the country already
