Due to our ever expanding business an opportunity exists for a driven, reliable and professional full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
The Mechanical Engineer is a full-time role within our busy workshop which involves the production of our Disc Chains along with a wide variety of custom projects.

Position Duties will include (but are not limited to)
- Contribute to the entire lifecycle of the machine design process, from planning and design to assembly and delivery.
- Produce 3D CAD models, detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and Bill of materials (BOM) using Autodesk Inventor.
- Analyse mechanical design and continuously improve existing design and process.
- Document design changes, revise design and project documents and coordinate their implementation.
- Develop/revise installation, operation and troubleshooting manuals in compliance with engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members across different departments, offering support and addressing questions when needed.
- Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors during design and production.
- Initiate Purchase Orders and streamline procurement processes.
- Produce weekly business reports and contribute to cost estimation and billing using ERP software.
- Support Operations Director by reporting on tasks and assisting with additional responsibilities as assigned.
Position Qualifications/Requirements
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Position Experience Required
- Proficiency with engineering design programs such as Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of a busy workshop environment.
- Displays each of the following attributes – excellent work ethic / dedication / punctual / initiative / personality / proactive / attention to detail / organised.
- Must be self-motivated and a great team worker.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
