About the Role

Due to our continued growth/success, we are looking for suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer. This role will be based in our Perth Head office and will have remuneration in the range of $110,000 - $120,000 depending on the experience.

Key responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in Safety audits on the appropriate form and rectify all outstanding issues found.
• Assist in Quality Audits utilizing correct forms and rectify outstanding issues.
• Demonstrate a commitment to an onsite safety and environmental control by ensuring compliance with Project Risk Analysis and JHAs and stopping unsafe/incorrect work practices whenever spotted.
• Document non-conformances and ensure corrective action is effective.
• Prepare work packages and managing project labour and the delivery of materials, plant and equipment
• Coordinate the assembly, operation and maintenance of mechanical installations for the designated work area
• Manage the planning, daily costings, monitoring, measuring, and reporting of progress and cost
• Establishing standards and policies for, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to company procedures and safety regulations
• Inspecting plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained
• Directing the maintenance of plant buildings and equipment, and coordinating the requirements for new designs, surveys and maintenance schedules
• Create, implement, and maintain ITPs.
• Material take-offs and checking against contract documents.

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering ideally but will consider diploma qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
• Mechanical trade qualifications and experience highly regarded
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
• Sound Technical knowledge and skills in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in preparing estimates for engineering design works and the capability to work safely in an industrial electrical environment
